I'm not sure what prompted this dream, but it was very scary. I feel like my family was there, as well as this other family. I was in both of them as two different people. In the family much like my own, I was asleep in a chamber. We weren't expecting zombies, me and one other person...I don't know why we were in the chamber, but it was protected by a barrier. When the barrier was broken momentarily, we were detected. From there, the dream started going down hill.
In the other family, the woman with two girls, and a red headed, bearded motor cycle husband, knew about the down hill turn. I'm not sure how she found out exactly, but she seemed to have been tipped off from the future. She was selling everything. Her possessions at first, then more and more things from her house. Until finally she sold her house. This woman was teaching her two daughters how to survive and get by. I also feel like she was getting ready to be able to move; to be nomadic.
The zombie infestation got worse. What was strange was when I was in the chamber, I had three automatic rifles. When the barrier broke, I couldn't find them. Instead, our weapons box was filled with 9 mm guns which could barely stun a zombie. There was also an electric gun, which would be quite effective, but required delicate fuses. The fuses were difficult to construct.
From there, I was at the shelter where I met the family. It's strange being the same and being separate at the same time. I was the smaller girl. I knew because of the bugs. Sometimes trying to figure out who I am is difficult, because often time, I am seeing myself in third person. The perspective switches.
Eventually, the city was no longer safe to occupy. Well, relatively speaking. So we all had to make a run for it. It was scary because if we left the city, we knew that the automatic defense system had to be left. That system helped us out a lot because there were too many zombies. My brother was taking care of a lot of them, but even he couldn't keep up after the infestation started to reach critical mass.
I am not sure where the military came from. We were one of many families that decided to flee. The military was set up with a big gun, and some smaller 60 caliber guns to provide cover fire. The apathy and complete disregard for the situation made me wonder where they came from. I suppose, the didn't have a zombie infestation back there.
Once we got away, I saw planes fly over head. For some reason, they were going to carpet bomb the city, but they didn't prepare enough explosives. This was a disaster! There was a crucial part that needed to be destroyed. Later I saw that, it was literally the brain. There was the brain and nervous system of the city. The brain was calm and collected. I guess it knew about the attack, and had something planned.
So the city was in ruins. The infrastructure was in ruins. And the people who were left behind were subjected to inflation. I'm not sure why the dream ends with inflation. There was a sign at the gas pump, 2.56. People were in line to fill their cars. But as they became less and less able to pay, parts were taken from their cars. This continued until they were charged merely for walking.
There were no signs of the zombie. I felt like the city set that up, but it was as if the infestation never happened. Maybe it was a manifestation of something else. There were a lot of things I didn't know, like the significance of the barrier. It was sort of this false safety. When the zombies appeared the barrier was still up, so I was very shocked to see one! I don't know why the military didn't do a good job. I didn't know why the city was run so poorly. It was supposed to be a "smart" city. I wonder if it was because the loss of human perspective that played a role.
When I woke up, I had a headache and my shoulder was killing me! Miu was thirsty, so she woke me up. Now that she's set, she's laying loudly on my chest. She's cute though! I'll have to get ready for school soon.
