Pre-test study!

Tonight I've got a test for Linear Algebra. I hope I do well on it. The whole thing actually gets easier as we start talking about vectors, but until then, there are some trick matrix stuff that I need to remember.

There's a quiz 5 question that goes something like this...
Suppose J_3 is derived from switching the rows of I_3. If J_3A = [some matrix], which of the following could be A?

I never understood this to begin with, but I am inclined to use the IA = A definition...which works out well if the matrix is square, but I feel like it could get tricky. For now, I will follow the key words rows/columns and look for those manipulations.

The next error I had was a matter of sign...unless the number was a coincidence!

I'm glad quiz 4 didn't really require any effort...I still have three more quizzes to review.

After reviewing some previous quiz 5 practice, I can see that there does seem to be the pattern I was seeing earlier.

Okay! On to quiz 6

Gha! This is just getting tedious! I'm going to take a shower and do a bit more review later.
